Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb set to be AU Commencement Speaker
Anderson, Ind. — The 51st Governor of the state Indiana, Eric Holcomb, will give the Anderson University Commencement address on May 11 at 3 p.m. This event will take place in Kardatzke Wellness Center and will be open to the AU community, the graduates, and their loved ones.
A lifelong Hoosier, Governor Holcomb is a veteran of the United States Navy. He was elected governor in November 2016, following an unprecedented 106-day campaign and was sworn in on Jan. 9, 2017. Tentatively, C-SPAN will cover Holcomb’s address.
“It’s an honor for us at Anderson University to host Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb as our Commencement speaker,” said AU President John Pistole. “We look forward to hearing his address and sending out our graduates with courage and enthusiasm to honor God and serve others. “
“I’m honored to speak at Anderson University where well-rounded students discover Christ-centered ways to determine their destiny in service to others,” Gov. I look forward to recognizing their achievement and celebrating with the graduates who have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of knowledge,” said Governor Holcomb.
