Do you find yourself intrigued by the rich, vivid colors of a painted canvas? Do your fingers itch to give form to a lumpy ball of clay? As a Fine Arts Studio major at Anderson University, you will create artwork that reflects skill practices and techniques as well as your research within historical and theoretical practices. You have the option to concentrate in one medium or to explore a concept using a variety of mediums. As you progress through the program, you will develop your skills and concepts into a focused portfolio of work, which concludes with a final exhibition and written paper. Studio majors select four introductory courses and at least two courses from the intermediate level. This gives you the opportunity to explore a variety of media and work both two dimensionally and three dimensionally. Independent studies also provide further opportunities for you to develop skill practices and conceptual frameworks tailored to your interests.Visit the Student Portfolios to see what we do. |
