The Associate of Arts: General Studies is designed for adult students desiring a broader experience in liberal arts without choosing an area of specialization. This program provides a wide "area" assortment of disciplines for the purposes of enhancing problem-solving skills, developing interpersonal and relational skills, increasing aesthetic sensitivity, creating environmental awareness, and enhancing the ability to better understand and live effectively in the contemporary world. Adult students desiring to complete the requirements for an associate degree in general studies will be required to meet the existing liberal arts requirements for the bachelor of arts.
