MSN Nursing Informatics TrackThe Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in nursing informatics integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science. This innovative program prepares advanced practice nurses with knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage and communicate data through the use of information structure, information processes and information technology. Students will be equipped with the tools to design and implement programs for patient and other healthcare providers.
This 35 credit hour program can be completed in as little as 24 months. All nursing courses meet curriculum requirements established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Graduates will be eligible for the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification as Informatics Nursing (RN-BC) once work requirements are met.
Each track builds on the tradition of excellence of the School of Nursing’s baccalaureate program. All courses are taught by faculty in their respective disciplines. The MSN is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
