Tamara Dreger Shelton, Assistant Dean of Students, Director of Residence Life

Tamara Shelton serves as the Assistant Dean of Students, Director of Residence Life, and Director of Housing. In this role, Tamara is committed to ensuring that students have a positive experience in the residence halls on campus and discover ways to connect to the AU community. Tamara also serves as a resource of information and connectivity for off-campus and commuter students.

Tamara earned her BA from Anderson University in Family Science and Christian Ministries in 2001 and attended Asbury Seminary where she completed graduate studies and earned an MA in Pastoral Counseling in 2003. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity from the Anderson University School of Theology.

As an Ordained Minister in the Church of God (Anderson), Tamara served at congregations in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana.

Tamara served as the Resident Director in Morrison Hall from 2007-2011 and returned to Anderson University during the summer of 2012 to serve in her current role.

Tamara lives in Anderson with her husband, Matt, and three children.

Tamara has served at Anderson University since 2012.
