AU Flagship Center

The Anderson University Flagship Center is connected to the southwest end of the Flagship Enterprise Center, located at I-69 and Pendleton Avenue (exit 222) in Anderson, Indiana. The facility provides more than 53,000 square feet of operational space to support the education initiatives of Anderson University and Purdue University.

"The Anderson University Flagship Center now completes a strategic plan that brings the best of this university to the major corridor of development and at the very doorway to our community," said Dr. James L. Edwards, president of Anderson University. "We are excited about the programs that will attract outstanding students and extend the purposes of the Flagship Enterprise Center as learning and entrepreneurship are married in such a dynamic way. The facilities are inspiring, and we are excited about the future for all the programs that will be developed in this new learning center."

"Purdue's College of Technology and Anderson University have been educational partners for more than 20 years, and we are proud that the collaboration will continue – and indeed strengthen – with the opening of this modern learning space," said Purdue College of Technology Dean Dennis R. Depew. "Anderson and the east-central Indiana region have been faced with many economic challenges as the manufacturing sector has undergone significant changes in the last couple of decades. But with the opening of the Anderson University Flagship Center, we are revitalizing a partnership that will produce exciting, powerful results for students and the community."

The facility is divided into three floors of operational space. The new AU Residential MBA program, the department of Adult Studies, and new programming in entrepreneurial studies will have a presence in the new AU Flagship Center. Purdue University's College of Technology will relocate its operation from the AU campus to offer its programs at this new location. In addition, the facility will support a state-of-the-art Anderson University Flagship Center, accommodating nearly 160 people with conferencing amenities and breakout rooms for academic and corporate development sessions.

"It is exciting to see our students take what they have learned in the classroom and apply it to their endeavors at the Flagship Center," said Dr. Terry Truitt, dean of the Falls School of Business at Anderson University. "Anderson University students studying at the Flagship will continue to learn from their professors, but they will also be learning from hundreds of entrepreneurs and working professionals. This is a dream come true: A state-of-the-art facility; strong, eager students; and seasoned faculty partnering with active, working professionals. This is good for the students and good for our region's economic growth."
