The Resident Assistant (RA) is a part-time student staff member of the Department of Student Life. The RA is primarily responsible for assisting the Resident Director in working with and being responsive to the students living in their building/complex. Primarily the focus is on creating and maintaining a living-learning environment where emphasis is placed on fostering and stimulating educational, spiritual, social and physical growth.
Discipleship Coordinators live on all freshman female floors in the resident
halls a volunteer their time to invest in the lives of the women on their
floor. They encourage, challenge, listen, and provide community to these women
as they experience their first year of college. DCs lead weekly Focus Groups
for the ladies on their hall to provide an avenue for spiritual growth.
Hall Chaplains are male students who respond to God's call on their lives to be about intentional discipleship in their residence halls. These students devote themselves to working with their fellow hall residents, the hall RDs, and the Campus Pastor to develop and coordinate times of worship, prayer, service and devotion. Hall chaplains also meet together, at regular times throughout the course of the school. year, for mutual accountability and discipleship training with the Campus Pastor.
