The School of Theology's scholarship program is administered by the Financial Aid and Awards Committee for all accepted and enrolled students. A variety of funding sources are utilized for student scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on total number of registered class hours. The School of Theology does not coordinate direct student loans.
It is important to note that while most students will receive some scholarship assistance, many seminary students meet a portion of their educational and living expenses through part-time employment in a church or other work secured within the local community. More detail is provided in the Scholarship and Financial Aid Information and Scholarship Request Form, both PDF documents.
All applications for direct student loans and/or loan deferments are processed by the Anderson University Office of Student Financial Services. Applications for scholarship assistance may be obtained through the School of Theology's Office of Student Development. A complete listing of policies may also be obtained from this office.
Students needing financial assistance beyond scholarships must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
International Students must meet the requirements of admission and be an accepted student before any scholarship awards are determined. International students should carefully read the Admissions Requirements for Students Educated Outside of the United States for additional information.
Applications for direct student loans may be secured from the Anderson University Office of Student Financial Services. Financial aid will not be awarded to students with "incompletes" remaining on their records four months after the final day of an academic term.
