If you told Anderson University alumna Alicia Adcock in the fall of 2003 she was destined to be a lawyer someday, she would have disagreed with you. “I was involved in a lot of things during my time at AU,” said Adcock, “but I never considered a career in law until the very end.”
Despite their hectic schedules, many Anderson University alumni take time to encourage the next generation of AU graduates. This October, the AU Pre-Professional Health Club hosted two alumni who offered advice to students who aspire to become health professionals.
One of Anderson University’s newest professors in the School of Music is Gert Kumi, who started teaching at AU this past fall. He is an expert violinist and has performed around the world, including China, South Korea, Africa, and throughout Europe.

Anderson University senior Megan Bird showcased her four years of musical education in a two-hour recital in December. Bird is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in music and a concentration in vocal performance. She has performed as the lead in numerous plays and has sung in church choirs, the AU Chorale, and many other activities that have helped her musical career.
The Anderson University Boze Lyric Theatre production "Into the Woods" has been selected by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) to present a scene at the regional festival at Michigan State University.
Anderson University's International Student Association recently hosted Native American Cultural Conversations, a forum highlighting Native American history and culture. The event featured guest speaker Sam E. Johnson, a teacher at Anderson High School.

Anderson University’s biology department is already set apart because of its emphasis on the integration of faith and science, as well as hands-on experience and relationships with professors. Now the department can claim one more distinctive as biology majors recently placed in the 95th percentile on a national exam for students majoring in biology.
From Oct. 9 to Nov. 13, Anderson University was the host of a visiting artist’s exhibition that showcased the work of three AU alumni who have earned success in their specific areas of art. The artists were Betsy Barnum, who focuses on printmaking; Trent Miller, who concentrates on painting; and David Schnuckel, who is a glass artist.
