Branson to give Harp Professor in Residence lecture March 12

Dr. Robert D. Branson, adjunct professor of biblical studies at the Anderson University School of Theology, will serve as Harp Professor in Residence on March 12. Branson will deliver a lecture entitled "Creationism and Science: A Continuing War" in the Kane Dining Room of the Olt Student Center from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $5, and reservations are required.

Branson is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. In 1976 he received a Ph.D. in biblical studies from Boston University and has taught at Eastern Nazarene College, Warner Southern College (now Warner University), Eastern Nazarene College, and Olivet Nazarene University. In 2007, he received the Pastor-Preacher-Scholar award from the Wesleyan Theological Society and also that year served as president of the Chicago Society for Biblical Research. His latest book is Judges: A Commentary in the Wesleyan Tradition.
