AU alumni well represented at Indianapolis 500

Anderson University alumna and renowned award-winning Christian recording artist Sandi Patty will sing the national anthem before the 97th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 26. This will mark the sixth time Patty has sung “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Indianapolis 500, more than any other individual performer.

AU alum and recording artist Jon McLaughlin will sing "God Bless America" in place of Florence Henderson, who is recovering from a bout of pneumonia, and alumnus Ron Duncan will play taps.

Ravens' World Series run comes to an end

The Anderson University softball team survived five elimination games to win the NCAA regional last week in Angola.

It took the nation’s top-ranked team to finally end the Ravens’ remarkable run.

Salisbury scored a 2-0 victory Saturday in Eau Claire, Wis., knocking AU (31-18) out of the NCAA Div. III Softball Championships in the program’s debut trip to the national finals.

Ravens win first NCAA regional title in program history

In early April, the Anderson University softball team was scuffling along at 1-3 in league play and thinking positive thoughts about remaining in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title race.

On Friday, the Ravens (31-16) will be one of just eight teams still alive in the NCAA Div. III national championship race.

That’s the difference some hot bats, clutch pitching, and cool attitudes will make for a ballclub.

Anderson University graduates relieved to have degrees

Anderson University awarded more than 650 doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees Saturday at the university’s 95th commencement.

Faculty lined the entrance to Kardatzke Wellness Center and ushered in the graduates for the event. For the students completing months and years of coursework, the graduation was a relieving award.
