Off Campus Students
Single, full-time students classified as freshmen, sophomores, or juniors not living with parents or guardians, and not 22 years of age by May 31 of the academic year, are required to live in housing on campus. Seniors and part-time students may live off campus, but Anderson University reserves the right to require any student, regardless of class standing or number of hours enrolled, to live in university housing.
Each year, the Department of Student Life requires students who live with parents or guardians to submit information from their parents or guardians that certifies the student’s residence at home. Students who live off campus must submit information that provides their address of residence, telephone number, local mailing address, and the names of other persons living at the same address.
Failure to abide by the Anderson University Housing Policy could result in disciplinary action. Questions about university housing should be addressed to the Associate Dean of Students, Decker 209, ext. 4194.
Non-residence hall students are expected to abide by all lifestyle expectations of Anderson University. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action as outlined in the Judicial Code, including fines, probation, revocation of off-campus living privileges or dismissal from the university.
Non-Residence Hall Students
Located in Decker 206A, ext. 4202, Student Life provides support services for non-residence hall and commuter students, including:
- Assistance with housing needs
- Planning appropriate extracurricular activities
- Liaison between students and other campus support services
- Maintaining a current list of non-resident students including name, address, telephone number, etc.
- Assessment of non-resident student needs
