Dr. James Lewis, associate dean and professor of theology and ethics at the Anderson University School of Theology, has contributed his knowledge and research on ethics and African-American history to a recent publication, the Dictionary of Scripture and Ethics. Published in December 2011, the Dictionary is a compilation of articles and essays that address the issue of how Scripture should impact everyday ethical issues.

Much talk and energy have been devoted lately to discerning the "future of the seminary" in North America. That future is uncertain, with many theological institutions facing financial difficulties and steadily declining enrollments. The larger challenge, however, may be cultural. If seminaries hope to survive, they will have to adapt to a changing world.

During Saturday’s graduation service, Settlemeyer was one of four to receive an honorary degree, along with Charles Dickmann, Frank Campbell, and Johnny Wilson.
Identical twins Elizabeth and Katherine Barwick anxiously lined up outside Anderson University’s Reardon Auditorium, adjusting their black caps and gowns.
It had been a lot of hard work, but the Mishawaka women said there was much fun mixed in with that dedication and they would miss their experiences from college.
They were just two of 645 who graduated from AU on Saturday afternoon at the Kardatzke Wellness Center.
