The Department of Art+Design at Anderson University is proud to announce the opening of War of One, an exhibition of works by graduating senior Brian McGrady. War of One runs November 16 through December 19 in the Wilson Galleries at Anderson University. The opening reception will be held Saturday, November 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. This show will run concurrently with The Works of Michael Dinges.
Brian McGrady of Ford City, Pennsylvania uses clay to addresses questions about keeping peace and the effects of war. His series entitled “War Pots” expresses current U.S. fears by using stenciled military imagery on classical Roman vessel forms. McGrady’s work also explores internal and external conflicts such as dealing with human casualties and the personal implosion associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
