Anderson University hosts variety of summer camps

Anderson University will offer several summer camps for various ages including music, film, business, and athletics.

"Ever wonder what happens on a college campus during the summer? A lot!,” said AU Provost Dr. Marie Morris. “Come explore, discover, build, improve, and create at AU this summer. We'd love to have you!"

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance will offer several camps.

Drummin’ For Fun and Junior Jazz Camp for grades 7 to 9 will be offered June 10-14. Camp tuition is $110 each with more information online.

The Music Education Camp for high school aged students will be held June 16-19 for $350 and includes housing and meals along with instructional materials. Visit the Music Education Camp website for more information.

Just Dance! Summer Dance Intensive will be offered June 16-22 for $850. The camp is all-inclusive and is targeted for high school and college aged individuals. Visit the Just Dance! website for more information.

The Orangehaus Music Business Camp introduces high school students to the music industry. The all-inclusive camp is $725 for residents or $525 for commuters. Visit the Orangehaus Music Business Camp website for more information.

New for 2013 is the String Camp from July 22-26, open to ages 13-21. Camp information and an application can be found online the String Camp website. Qualified students will have an opportunity to perform in a closing concert in the York Performance Hall.

The Department of Communication Arts hosts Covenant Productions® Filmmakers Camp for high school students July 15-20. The all-inclusive camp includes classes in screenwriting, camera operation, lighting, and other filmmaking courses.

For the first time, the AU Falls School of Business will host a Sports Marketing Camp, June 6-8. Students in middle school through college are invited to learn about the various areas of sports marketing including visits to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and other sports teams in Indianapolis.     Age group: 8-18 yrs.

  • Anderson University Basketball Camp — July 8-11
    Age group: 1st-4th grade girls and boys (morning, 9 a.m. - noon);
    5th-8th grade girls and boys (afternoon, 1-4 p.m.)

    Notes: Campers receive a camp t-shirt, instructional materials, camper evaluation, and player awards.
