Newest Anderson University graduates excited to start new lives

Fidgeting with his graduation gown and ceremonial hood, Benjamin Brouhaud wiped the sweat from his forehead and straightened his cap.

In less than an hour, Brouhaud, who is from the Ivory Coast of Africa, would graduate from Anderson University with his master’s in finance, which he said would put him one step closer to his real dream.

“I’m trying to own my own business and now I think I can do it in two to three years,” he said.

Madison County triplets prepare to graduate from AU

After 16 years in school together, triplets Sarah, Jon, and Rebecca Hales will participate in graduation exercises today at Anderson University.

AU introduces coach for men’s and women’s track and cross country

Anderson University recently announced that Brian Williams has been hired as the men’s and women’s track and cross country coach. Williams previously served as the assistant track and cross country coach at Ball State University (2013) and Anderson University (1988-99). He also coached track and cross country at the high school and junior high level.

Anderson University recently honored Dr. Rebecca Hull and Crysti Luna with John A. Morrison Awards for their commitment and service to AU. In addition, the university presented the MOSAIC Award to Dr. Marian Osborne Berky, and the Golden Compass Award to Professor Deborah Miller Fox. The awards were presented May 8 during the university’s annual faculty/staff recognition luncheon.

Junior Tyler Dague selected for prestigious internship in New York City

Anderson University junior Tyler Dague, a communication arts major with an arts journalism cognate, will be interning this summer in New York City at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Dague will be working with their Visitors Services Department, giving tours of the facilities, providing pre-show and post-show briefings, working on public relations materials for Lincoln Center's summer festival, and assisting with events.

Junior Ethan Wells received IBA Scholarship

Anderson University junior Ethan Wells received an Indiana Broadcasters Association (IBA) Scholarship for the fall of 2014.

“I am delighted but not surprised to hear that the Indiana Broadcasters Association have awarded a scholarship to Ethan," said Dr. Don Boggs, professor of communication arts. "He has been a dedicated student and also a valued employee at WQME 98.7 FM. We are fortunate to have him at Anderson University.”

Scholars' Day showcases student work

With project topics ranging from finding joy in Beethoven's ninth symphony to the use of anabolic steroids in sports, there was something for every student at Anderson University's annual day for scholars.

Student United Way to host rummage sale, May 3

Student United Way (SUW) at Anderson University and L’amifidel, a campus social club, will work together to host its first-ever community rummage sale on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the courtyard behind Smith and Martin Hall on Anderson University’s campus.

Money raised from the sale will help pay for service projects in Madison County.
