Anderson University student Rousseau Luzincourt spent Wednesday in turmoil, trying to find news about his sister living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He scoured news and Internet accounts, trying to see if he could recognize neighborhoods devastated by Tuesday’s earthquake.

Renner and his family live in Haiti, where they are involved in teaching media production skills to Haitians. Anderson University will continue to monitor the situation in Haiti.
Anderson University will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day by connecting with the Anderson community at a city-wide MLK Jr. Celebration on Monday, January 18, at 12 p.m. at the Paramount Theater and conducting a special celebration during the university’s weekly chapel-convocation in Reardon Auditorium on Tuesday, January 19, at 10 a.m.
Anderson University alumni Daniel and Sue Jenkins (BA '96) will move to San Jose, Costa Rica, with their three children to begin a new life in January 2010. They will serve as international missionaries working with microeconomic development (MED).
In October, alumni from central Indiana had the opportunity to come together as volunteers for the taping of an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Kokomo, Ind. The episode is scheduled to air this Sunday, Jan. 10, at 8/7c on ABC.
The weekend before Thanksgiving, 12 Anderson University students traveled to Chicago as a delegation to Model United Nations. Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations where students represent the character and government positions of their assigned countries in discussions. AU participants studied and planned for several months to represent the African country of Oman.
