Anderson University has named Marcie Taylor as the new athletic director. Taylor replaces Michael Zapolski, who has served as athletic director since 2003. Taylor has worked as associate athletic director of Anderson University since 2005.

“Marcie Taylor brings devotion to athletes, coaches and programs, and to the wider mission of Anderson University,” said Dr. James L. Edwards, president of Anderson University. “Over these years as a teacher and coach, she has equipped herself to take on this assignment and to move our intercollegiate athletic programs to greater successes. We are delighted to have her leadership in this major institutional role.”

The Anderson University soccer program will have its annual Anderson Soccer Camps for the 14th year in the summer of 2008.

The Anderson University men’s and women’s soccer teams have been awarded the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2007 season.

Anderson University junior Mary Schueneman has been named to the All Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference 1st Team in women’s soccer for the 2007 season.

Spending the past week overseas facing the some of the best international soccer teams Europe has to offer, the Anderson University men and women soccer teams concluded their playing schedule last Friday on a positive note.
