Joyce Duty Wehneman is the coordinator of clinical placements for the School of Education. In this capacity, she works with local school districts to place practicum students and teacher candidates for their professional semester. As administrative faculty, she teaches the introductory education class, Foundations of Teaching.  This course is designed for students who are exploring or have decided upon  teaching as a profession.  In addition, she teaches elementary methods in social studies and language arts and works with teacher candidates during their student teaching seminar. She previously taught several grade levels at Union School in Modoc, Indiana from 1977-2010.

Joyce completed her B.A. degree in elementary education from Anderson University in 1976 and her Master of Arts in Education in 1980 from Ball State University. She became a National Board Certified Teacher in 1999 and was certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist until 2009. During that time period she also served on the Governor's Education Roundtable, the Indiana Professional Standards Board, and was selected as an Armstrong Educator at Indiana University and a Fulbright Memorial Social Studies teacher to Japan. She was presented the Anderson University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2005.

Joyce Wehneman has been at Anderson University as an adjunct instructor since 2003 and in a full time capacity since 2010
