Nature and location of complaint: Theft, Bicycles, 100 block Broadway

Description: University Security was contacted by Anderson Police Department taht Madison County police officer had two suspects in custody with possible stolen bikes from our campus. After investigating it was determined that bikes had been stolen from AU students.

Disposition: Cleared by Arrest - Juvenile

Nature and location of complaint: Fire Alarm, Student Center

Description: University Police responded to an active Fire/Smoke alarm for the Student Center/Byrum Hall. The building had been evacuated and upon arrival police were advised by the dining service director the alarm was activated by a cooking station set up in the hallway.

Disposition: Case Administratively Closed.

Description: University police responded to a report of noises coming from the Haven kitchen. The Building was cleared and no one was found.

Description: University police responded to a system trouble alarm at the Wilson Library and School of Theology. The enire building was checked and the alarm was found to be malfunctioning.

Description: University Police apprehended a juvenile burglary suspect near campus. The Anderson Police received a report of a burglary in progress at East 5th Street and Park Avenue.

Description: University police recovered alcohol containers in the area of the baseball field during an investigation of an abandoned bicycle. The containers were thrown away and pictures of the scene taken.

Description: University Police discovered an abandoned bicycle on campus property near the tennis courts. The bicycle was placed in storage.

Nature and location of complaint: Suspicious Activity, East 7th Street and Chestnut Street

Description:  Anderson University Police investigated suspicious activity involving two individuals in a vehicle parked at a vacant residence adjacent to campus. Identity checks revealed one occupant was the property owner.

Description: While on patrol a campus officer responded to a report of a female lying on Scatterfield Road. The female had been struck by a vehicle, was fatally injured.

Description:  While on patrol the security officer heard Anderson Police and Fire dispatched to a residence hall on campus. Officer responded to the call and assisted a student who was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
