Nature and location of complaint: DUI, Liquor, University Blvd/Scatterfield Road

Description: Campus police stopped a vehicle for speeding 42/25.  Upon investigation, the driver was found to be operating while intoxicated.  The driver was taken to Madison County Jail and charged with OWI: Great than .15% BAC, OWI: Endangering, OWI: Endangering a Child, and Operating a vehicle while Never Licensed.

Disposition:  Cleared by Arrest - Adult

Description: Two students were stung by yellow jackets while participating in a campus activity.  The students were given topical medication and they returned to the activity.

Nature and location of complaint: Investigate, Student Center

Description: University police/security were called to investigate smoke-like haze in The Haven.  The haze was determined to be a hazardous gas caused by a reaction of refrigerant leaking into the room air from a broken line in the boiler room.  The area was ventillated to a safe level and the line repaired.

Description: University police received the report from ITS of thefts of an Apple TV from Decker Hall and the theft of a Thin Client with monitor from the Hartung student lounge.

Nature and location of complaint: Suspicious Activity, 900 Block Walnut

Description: University police responded to a call of multiple shots fired in the 900 block of Chestnut or Walnut.  Campus police and Anderson City police found a subject who fired his handgun at an intruder in h is back yard.  Anderson City police are investigating.

Disposition: Referred to responsible jurisdiction.

Nature and location of complaint: Fire Investigation, South Campus

Description: Officer received telephone call from South Campus RD that an oven was on fire in "B" building.  She stated that the students put it out with a fire extinguisher, but heavy smoke remained in the apartment and building.  Anderson Fire Department was called to assist in smoke removal.

Description:  Officer received a telephone call that a student had eaten blue cheese by accident and is allergic to it.  She stated he was having some difficulty swallowing.  He was located in Student Center and checked out by Medical First Responder and released.  Also officer did investigation on how this happened.

Nature and location of complaint: Assist, 2300 Block E. 3rd Street

Description: While on patrol, officer was flagged down by an unknown person and advised of a moped driver was all over the road.  Officer spotted the moped and witnessed it crash prior to stopping it.  Driver was arrested by Anderson Police for driving while intoxicated.

Disposition: Referred to Responsible Jurisdiction.
