Description: University police responded to a request for a medical assessment on a camp attendee with a possible sprained foot.  The police officers/EMT treated the injury and released the victim.

Nature and location of complaint: Assist, East 10th Street/Brookline Road

Description: University police assisted the Anderson Police near campus on two suspicious males passed out in a vehicle.  Both suspects were in possession of a firearm and drugs, along with a large amount of cash.  A passenger was taken into custody at the scene and the driver fled on foot from the scene after exiting the vehicle.  An area search for the fleeing suspect was conducted and a perimeter set up, but the suspect is still at large.  The fleeing suspect has been identified.

Nature and location of complaint: Drugs Found

Description: While on patrol, the university police officer was advised by the U.S. Mail carrier of a small baggie of suspected marijuana found on the sidewalk between 1307 and 1311 East 7th Street.  The officer recovered the baggie, and the substance field tested positive as marijuana.  The drug was destroyed.

Description: University police were notified of a summer camp attendee who sprained an ankle while playing basketball.  When police arrived, the attendee was already being treated by medical staff on the scene.

Description:  The university police officer on duty received a call from the clerk of Mugs Coffee and Tea, reference the theft of a donation bucket from the counter.  The Anderson police were advised and the University officer assisted in locating the suspects on South Scatterfield Road.   The bucket and the money were recovered fro the suspects.

Nature and location of complaint: Severe Weather/Tornado Warning, Anderson IN 46012

Description: The campus experienced a power outage at about 11:30am when a large tree limb was blown down onto a power line at 5th and Executive Drive.  University police secured the area until Anderson Municipal Light & Power Company arrived and restored the power.

Nature and location of complaint: Traffic Stop, University Blvd./Milton Avenue

Description: University police stopped a vehicle operating without tail lights.  The driver's license status was suspended-infraction.  The driver was cited into Anderson City Court for the offense.

Nature and location of complaint: Assist, Park Place, E. 8th Street

Description: The University police assisted the city police on a possible business burglary near campus.  Upon arrival, the university officer stopped a male walking in the alley behind the business.  A warrant check revealed an active warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear on a driving while suspended charge in Ripley County, Indiana.  The subject was arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail for extradition.  The subject was not involved in the burglary.
