Call for papers and workshops

NCMSLC Presenters Submission Form

Continuing the tradition of the National Christian Multicultural Student Leaders Conference, the Anderson University Planning Committee for the 2007 NCMSLC invites you to submit a paper or workshop proposal.

Concurrent Presentations from a Christian perspective are sought to effectively educate, inform, and encourage college students about ethnic diversity and leadership. Student presenters are welcome if accompanied by faculty and/or staff presenters.

The deadline for all proposals has been extended to Friday, September 7, 2007.

Workshop Tracks should include (but are not limited to):

  • Cross Cultural Issues and Trends
  • Student Leadership
  • Ethnic and Identity Development
  • Students Impacting their Campuses
  • Social and Economic Justice Issues
  • Inter-Cultural Communication
  • Christian Community Development
  • Contemporary Societal Issues
  • Multicultural Student Retention

Presenters are required to:

  • Prepare a workshop for a minimum 1 hour and with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions or interactive discussion.
  • Bring useful handouts and resource materials that participants can take back to their campuses.
  • Register to attend the NCMSLC 2007 Conference
  • Fill out the NCMSLC Presenters Submission Form and send it to the address below. — OR —
  • Submit a 150-word, typed summary of the proposed workshop along with a cover sheet that includes a brief biographical sketch, name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address to:

  • Be sure to include workshop title, descriptive summary that states the workshop’s purpose, content, methods, audiovisual needs, intended audience, intended outcome, and how it relates to the Conference theme.
