One of Anderson University's strategic priorities is to build intercultural responsiveness and to employ more faculty and staff who bring ethnic and cultural diversity. Toward that goal, Dr. Aleza Beverly is the chair of the intercultural engagement.
In this role, Dr. Beverly works collaboratively with the AU Human Resources staff and other hiring managers to promote, advertise, interview, hire, and retain individuals who add to the university's institutional ethnic diversity. The position also serves Anderson University internally and externally through community and church partnerships that strengthen the university's commitment to intercultural engagement. Dr. Beverly also serves on the Anderson University MOSAIC team , which works to create an interculturally responsive campus environment.
“The emphasis on intercultural competence is integral in graduating people with a global perspective who are competent, caring, creative, and generous individuals of character and potential. That is our mission. That is our calling. There is much work to be done, but we do it courageously by the grace of God.” -- Dr. Aleza Beverly
