Anderson University’s commencement scheduled for this Saturday, May 7, at 3 p.m. will be relocated to the Ward Fieldhouse inside the Kardatzke Wellness Center located on the northeast corner of the university campus (north of University Boulevard). The 3 p.m. (EST) scheduled time for the commencement event at the Kardatzke Wellness Center will remain as scheduled. Receptions for students and honorary degree recipients will be conducted on the south lawn of the Kardtazke Wellness Center immediately following commencement. All other commencement-related events taking place on Saturday, May 7, will be conducted in the locations as originally communicated.

Church of God Ministries, owners of the Warner Auditorium facility, informed university officials on, Wednesday, May 4, of the need to relocate the commencement event due to environmental concerns in the building. Dr. Ronald Duncan, General Director of Church of God Ministries, indicated to the university that based on results of environmental testing, Warner Auditorium has been temporarily closed. Church of God Ministries is taking immediate steps to resolve the environmental issues. More details will be forthcoming from Church of God Ministries.

Commencement seating in the Ward Fieldhouse is limited. We urge parents and family members of graduating seniors to take their seats inside the fieldhouse no later than 2:30 p.m. Entrance into Ward Fieldhouse may be gained on the south and north side of the Wellness Center facility. Parking for the general public will be available on the Church of God campground accessible from Fifth Street. Parking for physically challenged persons will be available in a lot on the north side of the Kardatzke Wellness Center facility accessible from Graceland Avenue.
