The AU Alumni Office has recently launched an online scrapbook of memories captured during the 2001 Homecoming weekend, Oct. 19-20. The scrapbook displays 29 sets of selected photographs collected during some of the main events scheduled during the weekend. “Our roving photographers captured many personalities and events,” said Tom Bruce, Director of University Relations. “If you missed this year, we hope to see you during Homecoming, 2002, scheduled for Oct 11-12. In meantime, please enjoy the photos contained in our virtual scrapbook.”

Homecoming activities included the annual homecoming football game, the introduction of the homecoming king, queen and court, a 5k Run, a concert by Christian recording artist Rebecca Saint James, a coffeehouse presenting Greg and Rebecca Sparks and FishersNet, and a theatrical production entitled “The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr” (abridged) just to name a few events scheduled during the weekend.

Table displays were also on hand in Olt Student Center representing the history of the campus with memorabilia and voices of past presidents. In addition, several reunions among different departments were also conducted both on and off campus. New to the Homecoming 2001 weekend was the Alumni-Student Fair conducted this year on street of University Boulevard.
