Title: Wellness Center web camera launched

Keeping up with the Wellness Center project has just gotten easier thanks to the newest addition to the AU website — a web camera. Current images of the Wellness Center construction can be viewed 24 hours a day via a link to the live webcam. The camera is perched near O.C. Lewis Gymnasium, and a new image is loaded to the web page every 30 minutes during daytime hours. The newest picture can be viewed by "reloading" or "refreshing" the Internet browser window.

"The live web camera will be a wonderful opportunity for alumni, current students and friends of the university to keep up with the progress of construction," said Tom Bruce, Director of University Relations. "We hope that many persons will visit this exciting section frequently and join us as we welcome this new facility to the campus."

In addition to the webcam, the Wellness Center groundbreaking ceremony can also be "experienced" on-line by watching video clips taken during the event. For the best experience, you will need to have both speakers and RealPlayer installed on your computer. Whether you missed the groundbreaking or just want to relive the event, you can watch and listen as President Edwards speaks about the Wellness Center project and members of the AU community take turns breaking ground for the Wellness Center. A picture tour is also available to view highlights of the groundbreaking event.
