What Meal Plans are available? Please see the Meal Plans page for all our available plans.
Where do I register for a meal plan? When you enroll, Anderson University will automatically assign you the lowest meal plan available for your class standing and residential status. If you want a higher plan, please notify Anderson Dining Services. If you desire a lower plan, Brent Baker, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students, must approve it. If you are not required to have a meal plan, (i.e. you are living off campus or are a senior), you can still request one or come to the Dining Services Office and we will handle your request.
What Meal Plan am I required to have?Residence hall freshmen and sophomores must choose either Meal Plan A or B. Residence hall juniors (52-87 credit hours) must choose either Meal Plan A, B, or C. Seniors, South Campus, Tara East, Mansfield, Weis, Fair Commons, non-resident students, adult and graduate students, faculty, and staff are free to purchase any of the meal plans.
Can I change my meal plan?If after you arrive you decide you don't want the plan assigned to you, you may go to the Dining Services Office and change to another plan within your class standing and residential status before the end of the third week of classes. You may also send email to email@example.com to request a change in your meal plan.
Where can I use my meal plan?
The Marketplace:the main dining room, located in Olt Student Center, serves all-you-can-eat meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday, as well as breakfast & lunch on Fridays and a Sunday brunch.
Raven's Haven:This is our snack bar, located below The Marketplace, and is also where Nona's is located. Everything in the Raven's Haven is served a la carte and may be purchased using a meal or Raven Dollars.
Café Olé:This smaller snack bar is located in Decker Hall. Everything at Café Olé is served a la carte and may be purchased using a meal or Raven Dollars.
Raven Xpress:Located in Hartung Hall. Quick grab-and-go options that include Starbucks Coffee, Healthy Choices signature bag lunches, and Quick Combos. Great for between class snacks and meals.
Concession Stands:During football and basketball games you may use your Raven Dollars (or cash) to purchase items from the concession stands.
What are meal equivalences?Meal equivalences are options which allow students to use their meals outside of The Marketplace.
How are my meals accounted for? Each time you eat, the cashier rings your meal into a computerized register, which then deducts that meal from your account. If you wish to know it, the cashier can tell you your balance at that time. All transactions are stored in the office computer.
Are meal plans transferable?Only you can use your card. No one else.
What are Raven Dollars worth? Each Raven Dollar is equal to one dollar.
Can I get additional Raven Dollars?Yes, additional Raven Dollars may be purchased (charged to your student account) through the Dining Services Office in the Olt Student Center. (There is a minimum transaction of $50.00.)
Do Raven Dollars carry over to the next semester?Yes, Raven Dollars remaining at the end of each semester may carry over from one semester to the next as long as a meal plan is purchased the following semester. Ravens Dollars are not refundable or transferable.
Can I carry over my meals from one semester to the next? No, meals do not carry over between semesters. All unused meals are automatically forfeited at the end of each semester.
What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?Report it immediately to the Dining Services Office. Until a replacement ID is obtained, you may be issued a temporary meal card. After receiving a new ID card from Security, bring both the temporary card and your new ID back to the Dining Services Office. Your new ID card will be encoded with your current meal plan.
How do I make a healthy choice?Anderson University Dining Services understands there is a need for nutritious, low fat food options. To eliminate guesswork there is nutritional information available in The Marketplace for each item we serve. A registered dietitian is also available for consultation (see the nutrition link).
Can I bring a guest to the dining hall?Yes. You may pay for their meal with your meals, Raven Dollars or with cash.
What if I have special dietary requirements? If you are placed on a restricted diet by your physician, please contact the Dining Services Office so we can arrange to meet your needs. Special diets must be approved by the Campus Health Clinic.
