2000 & 2004 HCAC CHAMPIONS
11 STRAIGHT NSCAA TEAM ACADEMIC AWARDS

I would like to welcome you to the Anderson University Men's Soccer web site. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the institution, our 18-year-old soccer program and our 133,000 sq. ft. Wellness Center.

In 1989, AU put its first collegiate soccer team on the field. I had the privilege of being that team's goalkeeper and starting the proud tradition that we now have. We have many alumni that have put a lot of time into building the program into what it is today.

We are looking for players that will consider themselves a scholar-athlete that will work hard in the classroom and on the field. We want team players that believe in their teammates first. We want players that play with pride and work hard.

I am starting my 17th year in the program and 14th as head coach and I expect us to be competitive again in the Great Lakes Region as well as competing for the HCAC championship.

The AU soccer team is very proud of their accomplishments that they have achieved in a short amount of time. Last year marked the 11th time the program has been selected as an NSCAA Academic All-American squad, earning better than a 3.0 team GPA. We were one of 40 eight schools in all divisions to achieve this.

We are very proud of this tradition our student athletes have been able to achieve.

Team accomplishments:
* Won two HCAC tournament titles
* Won two HCAC regular season titles
* Have had 38 All-Conference players
* Have had 28 NSCAA Academic All-American selections
* Had three HCAC Players of the Year and two HCAC Freshmen of the Year

The soccer team has made five European tours to Germany, Holland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland and Italy, where they played Club teams and saw several historical sites such as Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, The Coliseum, The Pantheon, The Vatican and Anne Frank's house. They have also seen several prominent European soccer teams play as well as seeing opening day games of Manchester United and New Castle in 2007.

Anderson University summer soccer camps take place in July and August. You can click on the Anderson Soccer Camps link on the web site for more information.

If you are looking for a place where you will be challenged both on and off the field and want more information, please contact Coach Fridley by phone (765-641-4499) or stfridley@anderson.edu.
