Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving
Scott Tilley assumed the role of Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving in December of 2016. For the past 17 years, Scott served as the associate pastor of a large church in Goshen, Indiana. Prior to full-time ministry, Scott worked as the communications director for a national insurance/financial services organization, as director of marketing/public relations for Warner Press Publishing, Inc., and worked in public relations and director of the Friendship Company for Sandi Patty. His first job after graduating from Anderson was as a residence hall director in Dunn Hall for two years. Scott is married to Tammy (also an AU alum) and has two college aged children.
As Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, Scott leads a team of gifted individuals in finding ways to engage, support and develop ongoing, meaningful relationships with AU alumni while cultivating relational connectedness and support with current students, faculty and staff at AU.

Associate Director of Alumni Relations & Parent Programming
As Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Parent Programming, Brenda assists the Alumni Director in finding ways to engage alumni, students, parents and friends of the university by coordinating meaningful events, programs and initiatives.
After working within the university for a number of years, Brenda was inspired by some of her colleagues and mentors to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, and earned her degree from Anderson University in 2013. Embracing the love to learn, she began pursuing her Master of Business Administration from the Falls School of Business at Anderson University.
Brenda is determined to live out the mission of AU by keeping alumni, the campus community and community partners connected to AU. By working with the Homecoming Committee, The Alumni Council and the Student Alumni Association, she coordinates the majority of aspects of Homecoming Week and manages multiple student initiatives created to reach out to current students. She also functions as a resource for parents of current and incoming students through newsletters, luncheons, new student move-in and parent orientation.
Brenda has served at Anderson University since 2004.
Associate Director of Annual Giving
Elyse came to Anderson University with managerial experience in addition to having successfully run her own business for eleven years. She works to promote Annual Giving initiatives which support many areas of the university, but most importantly provide necessary funds for student financial aid. In addition, her efforts serve to strengthen relations with alumni, donors, parents, students, and other constituents to further the work of the university. As an AU alumnus, Elyse has a strong commitment to raising annual support and facilitating programs which bring others alongside the university as partners in supporting the mission of AU.
Elyse Cromer has been at Anderson University since 2006.
Communications Coordinator for Advancement
Marissa Johnson graduated from AU in 2013, with a degree in communication arts focusing on public relations. During her time as a student, she worked in various offices on campus, including admissions, communications, and publications. Upon her graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant for Zionsville Community Schools, before returning to AU in 2016. Marissa and her husband, Casey, met at AU and married in 2013.
As communications coordinator, Marissa works within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving to create new communication strategies to aid in developing stronger relationships with donors and alumni for the university. She manages the social media accounts and email marketing/newsletters for the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, and writes content for donor and alumni projects and for the website. She works closely with the Advancement staff in planning and implementing various events throughout the year, including Homecoming and Orange & Black Give Back. She is passionate about connecting alumni to their alma mater through technology and social media, and she enjoys facilitating alumni networking opportunities.
Marissa Johnson has been at Anderson University since 2016.
