Julie Short, Admissions Counselor and Church Relations

Greetings from Indiana! My name is Julie Short and I have the privilege of being your Admissions Counselor at Anderson University. As a former Raven, I am excited that you are considering Anderson as a place to call home for the next four years. My time here on campus was such a memorable one;one filled with fantastic friendships, challenging classes, and a ridiculous amount of fun!

Education Background
One of the things I appreciate most about Anderson University was the amount of time faculty and staff poured into me to make sure I was ready to take on the world when I graduated. I graduated from AU in 2000 with a degree in Psychology. Since my time at AU, I have had the opportunity to work for both profit and non-profit organizations. One of the most exciting opportunities I have participated in was traveling to East Africa as a part of my role as Manager of International Internships for a relief and development organization called Food for the Hungry. It's amazing to see God at work in all corners of the world! During this time I have also graduated from Fuller Seminary with a Masters in Theology and Biblical Studies. It is my hope to use the knowledge and experience I have gained over the last 10 years to make your college admissions process an enjoyable one!

Personal Bio
When I am not on campus, I love to spend time with my husband, Colin, my daughter, Mary Kate, and my two dogs Indy and Buckeye. After being in Arizona for 17 years, I enjoy the cool, crisp weather for football season. I love to travel and hope to reach all 7 continents in my lifetime. My friends and family are very important to me and I cherish them all!

Favorite Things about AU
Traveling with Tri-S, Miller Chapel, the Psychology Department, hanging out in the Valley, Social Clubs, close relationships among students and faculty.

Search Process
I know that this decision making process can be both exciting and daunting at the same time, so I look forward to walking through this with you step by step. Here's what you can expect from me during this time. I will do my best to answer the questions you have regarding the University itself, the application and admissions process, financial aid, or even where to get a good cup of coffee on campus. If I don't know the answer to a question you might have, then I will track down the correct information and get back to you as soon as possible. I will also provide a listening ear and honest feedback. I want to make sure that this is a good relationship for all parties involved.

I look forward to meeting you in person here on campus! If you have not already set up a visit, let's get one on the calendar. You can't truly appreciate how beautiful the campus is until you take your first walk through The Valley.
