Arts and Culture

Anderson University

Whether your interests are to join a musical ensemble, participate in a theatrical production, perform at a coffee house or travel other cultures, AU has many opportunities unique to each individual.

  • Musical groups and ensembles including AU Chorale, Jazz Ensemble Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.
  • Art shows and coffee houses featuring original art, music and theatre by AU students.
  • Celebrate diversity while learning about other cultures with International Student Association and Multicultural Student Association.
  • The International Education program allows students to spend a summer, semester, or year studying abroad while earning credit toward their work at AU. Recent destinations include Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Peru, Quebec, and Spain.
  • Travel abroad with Tri-S (Study, Serve, and Share) to more than 45 destinations worldwide. Depending on the project, students can volunteer their skills in construction and painting, or share their abilities in counseling, singing, nursing, or teaching. Living and working daily with their international hosts, students are exposed to the arts, culture, and language of the host country.
  • Since May of 1987, Anderson University and Warner Press have jointly shared ownership of over 140 works by Warner Sallman.
  • The Jeeninga Museum of Bible and Near Eastern Studies at Anderson University was established in 1963 by Dr. Jeeninga. The Museum’s holdings include original artifacts from many periods of the Ancient Near East. In addition to original artifacts, the Jeeninga Museum houses a number of replicas purchased from museums around the world.
