Lynn Schmidt earned her doctorate at the Indiana University School of Nursing. She earned her Masters of Science (Nursing Education) and Bachelors of Science from Ball State University. Schmidt received her RN Diploma at Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, Mich.
Lynn became Graduate Coordinator at Anderson University School of Nursing in 2010. Lynn teaches both at the Masters and Bachelors level. Prior to coming to AU, she worked as a Nursing Instructor at Ball State University and prior to that, seven years as a school nurse at Mt. Pleasant Township Community Schools. Lynn has worked in a variety of nursing roles including Community Health, School Health, Otorhinolaryngology, Ambulatory Surgery and Medical/ Surgical nursing. Teaching and mentoring students is her passion, yet she also is very interested in transcultural nursing and nursing research.
Lynn is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the Transcultural Nursing Society and the Indiana State Nursing Society.
When not working or studying, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and Golden Retriever, Emily.
Lynn’s motto for life is never, never, never give up.
